Criss Cross Christmas Card for the Christmas Card Club Challenge.

Hi! I love alliteration so I couldn't resist this title!  I wonder if I could say it after a couple of glasses of wine!!   Lol!  I actually started this card two weeks ago  for "Anything Goes" challenge then I realised that it fit nicely with this week's "Let's Go Monochrome", which was chosen by Clare, so I put it to one side and picked it up again the other day and finished it for today's challenge.

My Card

My card is made from two 6 x 6 inch cards stuck together and trimmed.   The papers are Dovecraft "Winter Wonderland" which I have had for years.  My image is an LOTV stamp which  I think  is called Little Ivy. I coloured her with Promarkers, die cut it with SB Standard Circles Large and matted it with SB Petite Scalloped Circles Large. Whilst it was still in the die I added some Versamark Smoke Blue to take away the stark white and let it blend in a little more. I added lots of glitter to her wings and the poinsettias. Well it's for Christmas so glitter is obligatory!! The flower, from WOC, started out white but I coloured them with Promarkers. The Holly Vine is from Memory Box and I cut it three times, chopping one of them up and sticking it around the flowers. I cannot tell you where the stamp is from - it was one of the ones I took off the wood block and forgot to take the details! The pearls are from my stash.

Yesterday Patricia was telling us how she got so involved with her crafting that she was late making dinner - only to find she was an hour early!!  A few years ago I had a real blonde moment!  My sisters are married to cousins who have birthdays on the 10th and 14th October. I was horrified when I realised that I had missed both of them but amazed that my elder sister hadn't rung to complain - she's not normally one to hold back.  I hurriedly made two belated cards and posted them - only to find it was only September and I had looked at the wrong page of the calendar! Whoops!!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.  We had a beautiful day yesterday after a chilly start. Still no rain and I'm dancing as hard as I can Jenny! Lol!

No! I was like you I had the dinner ready an hour too early......LOL
As long as you put the insert in the card and wrote who it was from.........I did similar but forgot the insert. The person who got it knew it was from by the writing on the envelope.

Hi Christine, a very pretty card. The colours match so well. I had a 'dizzy blonde' moment last saturday in the supmarket. I rushed to pick something up and thought my husband had joined the checkout. Rushing back I went up to a checkout and started talking to a man, who said I'm not with you..... I looked up to see a total stranger, I'm not sure who was more embarrassed. Hubby who was standing at the end of one of the isle's thought it hilarious, so did the man - to make matters worse hubby decided to use the same checkout, I wanted the earth to open up...lol... Need to wear my glasses more when shopping...

Hi Christine,
stunning card. I love all the blue, especially your flowers you coloured in with the promarkers. Such a very sweet image too. I am never worried if I haven't got the right colour card or flower to go with it now, as I know I can colour it with promarkers or distress inks.
Thank you for passing through Kent on your way blogging, because we have had steady rain all day. So I am in no need of your dancing pumps.lol.
You have my permission to put your dancing pumps away till next time. lol.
Love Dees rendition of the supermarket thing. I have done similar things over the years been talking to hubby or who I thought was hubby only to find a complete stranger by my side and giving me such strange looks as if I just landed from another planet. You just need the ground to open up and swallow you in at that moment. lol.
Now my most embarrassing moment was when I worked for Argos in those days they didn't have computers. So if a customer came up with their item no they wanted to purchase, you would walk back to board with all the numbers read the description of their item, and come back and tell them what they have ordered. Well one day a woman gave me her slip with the No on I dually went back read the description which was a crock pot, and yes you have guessed it came back and said cock pot. Do you know she didn't even laugh. Which I would have had it been me.
Oh dear sorry about the war and peace comment. I do go off on one don't I.lol.
Have a wonderful crafty evening.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Back for a little visit...Thanks for stopping by my blog and the encouraging words about the walking being healthy.

I did not want to go into it too much, but that is part of my intent to get on with walking again. I don't drive so have always been a walker but got into lazyness after my surgery and didn't exersize enough...I gained back all the weight Ii took off a couple of years ago.
So hopefully the walking will have added benefits!
